Brake Buddy vs Blue Ox Patriot

Need to buy a supplemental brake system for the toad. I narrowed it down to the Brake Buddy Vantage Select or the Blue Ox Patriot. Opinions? Why one over the other?

Can only speak for Blue Ox. Have the whole system. Pleased so far. Customer service reviews are raving.

Definitely getting Blue Ox for the rest of the equipment. Will probably go with whatever brake system I can get cheaper. Thanks.

I have all Blue Ox except for the braking system. Went with Brake Buddy Stealth. Really nice and a very small footprint. No taking the unit out of the car. That is really nice.

I also use the Stealth. Small unit and nothing to remove from toad after unhooking. Just disconnect tow bar and drive away. Camping World did the install.

I also have the complete Blue Ox system. We are pleased with our unit and highly recommend the Blue Ox products.

I have the Ready Brute Aluminum tow bar with the Ready Brake system. I think it is the least expensive and works very well. There is a good video on their web site. I did use a Blue Ox base plate. Installed the base plate myself.
