Broken toilet

I stupidly pushed the flush pedal on our Dometic 310 when it was freezing. Water had been drained, but I didn't think about the water in the valve. My question: anybody else done this? Is it the valve that breaks, or the pedal assembly? The pedal still works and opens to flush, but no water.

I'd guess it's the value, where water I forced to a narrow position, making it susceptible to freezing and causing damage because there is no room to expand.

There's nothing wrong with pushing the pedal in freezing conditions that I can think of.

Bad thing will happen if you leave water where it cannot expand if it freezes.

Good news is that the valve is replaceable.

Hope that helps.

Just change the flush valve. It is designed to do that. It has a weak spot for this reason. Done them before from not flushing the flush valve when winterizing, you cant forget to do that weather your using AF or air.
Its not hard to do and you can do it yourself.

Take it of and with you when getting the new one as there different ones. You will be surprised how many they have hanging on the wall. My guess is many people do this at least once.
