Camping in Mich

We are going to a reunion in Port Huron in Aug. Any suggestions of where to stay? Traveling from S Colorado so any places along the way also appreciated.

Thanks. How far is that from Port Huron? Do you know anything about Lakeport?

Pixie,

We camp at Lakeport a couple of times every year. It's a nice park with clean bathrooms as well as a small camp store. It's about 8 to 10 miles North of Port Huron. They have electric only hookups, but have a dump station and water fill as you enter the camp ground. It does get busy on the weekends, but during the week it's very quiet.

Hope that helps a little.

West side of the state is beautiful, also. Moving up the Lake Michigan coast has a lot of great places. Northern Michigan is also a beautiful part of the state with much to do.

Same here! We have reservations for the week after the FROG Rally in Goshen - really looking forward to it!

Get your reservations in NOW though - they fill up quick I am told!

There is a Port Huron KOA which is nice. Also one in Emmett Michigan. Between the two, I'd rather the one in Port Huron.
