De winterized last weekend and now freeze warning for tonight

I am wondering if the temp gets to 31 for three or four hours early in the morning would it damage the hot water heater?
I am plugged up and will have a small electric heater inside the Rv on. I am considering draining the hot water heater. My Friend said it will not freeze hard enough to damage it. I guess I could turn on the hot water heater and not even have to worry about it. Thanks

I would say not. Last year I de-winterized my rig in mid April. The overnight temps then fell to -10oC for about 5 nights while the rig sat empty. My HW tank was full and didn't suffer any damage. The only fracture I had was a valve at the back of the toilet which caused it to drip very slowly. The dealer replaced that FOC because it was a brand new unit we'd just bought from them and they chalked it up to poor factory winterization.
