Dead battery on toad!W

I gave a class C MH person a jump because their Toad battery was dead and the DIC stated "power steering issue "! This was a Chevy Equanox, will the wheels Not Turn with a Dead Battery? Youroo! !

Good on you for trying help someone in need.

However....the owner’s Equinox with a message of “Power steering issue” on the DIC display, may not have anything to do with the dead battery they suffered.

You did not mention what year the Equinox was. If it was a 2018 or newer, there are now significant differences between models with a variety of engines and transmissions that can and cannot be towed.

Have they towed before without incident?
Did they follow procedures in their owners manual for towing, if allowed?
Agreed, certain versions of Equinox have electric power steering versus hydraulic, however, why the question as to whether the wheels would not turn with a dead battery?

Damn sorry I posted this, I didn't run their Serial number or ask how much they paid for it, "I just gave them a jump start "! They had pulled it over 700 miles from where they lived, so it wasn't the first time! Youroo! ! !
