I forgot about service in Oregon, Got out to start to get some fuel, and the next minute they had a person there to pump it, said it was the law. I know of 1 gas station in South Boston VA. That will still pump your gas and wash you windshield. The gas station owner never did stop the practice, and really it cost the same as pump your own. It's a small little station on highway #58. He's from the old school that just liked to give people service. Very rare here....

In Oregon you can insist to pump your own if it is Diesel. They just don't tell you that. Ask next time and they are supposed to tell you.

Also, whats around the corner is complaints by those states with ST, that the tax revenue has decreased, due to lower tax collected at the pump. The general rule is this; the government burn rate is fixed, plus an allowed yearly tax increase for whatever excuse is given at the time. When taxes collected on fuel greatly decrease, as is the case here, "they" will get their pound of flesh from somewhere else. Or, reduce spending, yeah right! Buckle your seat belts everyone.
Uhhh, the state collects $XX amount per gallon, not a sales tax on total cost. It is a set amount, no matter how much gas cost. The only way the state collects less in gas taxes is if you pump less gas.
