Fresh Water Tank Unwanted Fill

I have a 2019 FR3 33DS that has filled up the fresh water tank until overflowing.
Funny thing...my hose was only connected to City Water.

I could not find anything online or in the owners manual that tells me why the fresh water would fill up while hooked up to city water only.

Please send me your suggestions.

This question gets posted 3-4 times per week, it seems. Itís usually a stuck or trash-filled or bad check valve in the water pump.

Solved auto filled fresh water tank

Dan, I read all posts...

I disconnected from city water and ran half the Fresh Water (FW) tank through the pump. I checked out the filter/pump...its mount had compressed and the pump was residing at a -45 degree angle. I used zip ties to hold the hoses/pump level. For now...the tank is maintaining its level.

There was a huge amount of plastic shavings in the compartment...but none in the clear glass filter placed prior to pump motor.

Thanks for the info, I will update if the problem arises again.

Same problem solved

There is another current post called "Fresh Water Tank Backfill" that I just posted my experience this week with the same problem. See if you can find it and read (I don't know how to link to it). I turned the pump switch on and off 3 times and it fixed the backflow in the pump and stopped the leak. Hope that helps.

Here is what worked for me.
Trailer water fills on city water - fix.
Very common problem. The solution usually is.
Disconnect city water
Turn on faucet to relieve pressure.
Turn on water pump
run water for 30 seconds.
Turn off faucet and allow water pump to run until it stops
Turn off water pump
reconnect city water.
