Front License Plate

Here in Ohio, we are still required to display a front plate. We have a new 2019 Georgetown 369 and I, unfortunately, will need to install something. I have searched a little and found nothing that stands out as a great solution and hoping we could get a little input from those that have dealt with this on their Rig.

Thanks in advance!!

Since, apparently you're not a new Ohio resident you probably have other vehicles with two plates. The best solution is to go to your DMV get at second plate, and get a plate holder from a local parts store and attach it to the front of your new 2019 GT. And screw the plate onto the holder!
We only have one plate required here in South Carolina!
Or, better yet follow jimbo's suggestion !!!

Texas is a 2 plate state. My previous MH had a Plate mount facility and I put one on. It said BUBBLES. My recent MH does not have a facility to install a front plate so I haven't. Its been over 20 years and haven't been stopped or questioned about it but maybe some day I will get a warning.

Ohio front plate

In Ohio dealers selling vehicles that require front and rear plates are required to provide brackets and should install both plates for you. Don’t let them blow you off.

Funny, I am thinking the same thing. See how long we can go without attention. They just agreed to change the law here in Ohio to no front plate required, however, it won't take effect until June of 2020.

That is good to hear. They have only “selectively enforced” this law for years. Usually just to get probable cause to stop a suspicious vehicle or if bored. Many LEOs or politicians or even judges and lawyers ignore it on their own vehicles. Hypocrisy at its finest.

If you haven’t purchased or installed the license plate yet hold off. There is a bill introduced this month in Ohio that will eliminate the front plate. In the meantime I keep the plate with me and if I am questioned I just lay it on the dash.

1976 I moved to Texas (bad move, didn't last long). They had 2 plates. My car had no place to put one. I had to just drill holes in front bumper. Looked like Goober did it.

Now I have a front plate holder on my truck......but the plate just says "Hog Fan".

Gov. just signed the bill into law. Takes effect July 2020. That will give LE groups time to whine why they should keep the law. They are such hypocrites. They only selectively enforce the law now which confuses the public who continues to see thousands of cars with no front plate. In our town the Asst. Police Chief, the Mayor, several police officers and even the judge have no front plates on their personal cars. Even the state patrol troopers each only write a few per year. If they want the plates back on they better enforce the law as written. Front AND back. Not “rear all the time” and front when you just want to stop a “suspicious” vehicle.

Sounds like somebody got a ticket for this. If you are ever the victim of a crime involving another vehicle, a hit and run, drunk/high/suspended/wanted driver and are unable to get their plate number because it is only on the back of the car, thank yourself. At least you won't whine. And that suspicious car in your neighborhood that was spotted by your neighbor right before stuff was stolen from your RV, but didn't get the plate because they only saw it from the front? I guess it was worth it so Ohio could save a few bucks. You think your cost of registration will do down now with one plate? Lol. And as far as being frustrated over 'hypocrites', you will learn life is unfair in many regards. My rule of thumb for happy life is to worry about me, not what other people are doing.

Sounds like you don’t know a retired LEO talking when you hear one. Never got a ticket for this because I always followed the law but the chief, the judge, the mayor and thousands of others don’t have to obey the law. They get a pass. Should that suspicious car be allowed to stake out your RV if they have a plate on the front? Saving money has nothing to do with one vs two plates. It is this, the LE community and the lawyers, and the rich guys in their sports cars get to flaunt the law on their personnel vehicles while the poor working stiff who neglects the to put his plate on gets randomly stopped over and over because they are selectively picked out. Some poor guy got stopped and just questioned the cop as to why he was stopped and he ended up eating a bullet. Of course that is ok with you since you don’t care what others do.
