Full time and contents insurance

So we are full timers .. rented our condo and took off..and we run into problems with insurance... we don't have a permanent address now ( we rented out our condo) so, the renter has insurance on the condo. So we used our sons address and tried to get contents insurance but it's a no go...

So what does everyone do when they sell their home and go full time .. everything we own is in this motorhome... we can't just "not have insurance

As far as I know, most fulltimers get their RV loan and insurance BEFORE they sell their home because of issues with banks and insurance companies.

Contact www.millervinsurance.com. They're a broker and deal regularly with fulltimers.

Them or www.rvinsurancepro.com. Both were fantastic to deal with.

We have been full timing since 2005. Good Sam's insurance lets you insure your contents for whatever value you choose

Not for insurance. Fulltimers absolutely need a fulltimer policy and to be up front with their insurance agent as to their real situation.

In the last 2-3 months, I've read of multiple disaster situations where the fulltimer came to find out they weren't covered like they expected because none had a proper fulltimer policy.

What you said is often true for banks and RV loans. Bank don't want to lend to someone who is hard to find.

I use Good Sams even though I do not full time. I know from talking to others they will take a PO box and I believe they take alternate where you do get mail. Most of my my dealings with them has been electronic and emails. We had our tv and tt total last June. The Roadside assistance paid $150 a day in hotel and rental van for the three days we needed it to salvage as much as possible and then drive 500 miles to get home. They were very fast on contents check and check for cost of damaged tt. Replacement vehicle was quick, they had agent in wrecker yard in two days. Bottom line totaled accident of 2012 Flagstaff on 6/6, on the road with 2017 Flagstaff 6/27 to next cg. Total cost was deductible and check for contents. The extra cost for Good Sams (they are abit higher) was well worth it in our case.

Full time and contents insurance

Our permanent address is at the local UPS store, which gives us a street address; has worked well.
