I just bought a Blue Ox Patriot and used it a couple of weeks ago. It is proportional and does not work hard on the brakes, worked perfectly. I had tried a used Blue Ox Apollo which was air operated and found that it was braking very hard. Recommend the Patriot.
I also used the Patriot system in my Mini Cooper that I towed. Very pleased with this braking system and highly recommend it. Just a suggestion, put a charging "wire" into your plugin cable to keep the towed vehicle battery charged. I found the Patriot system will discharge the tow battery during a days travel w/o the battery being charged.

I installed the RVi trickle charger on my Chevy Cobalt. It is a must to keep the battery of the toad charged. I'll be leaving Massachusetts on my maiden run with a toad down to Florida to snowbird after Christmas.

What is the actual brand name of your trickle charger? Is it solar? I googled "RVi Trickle charger" and came up with nothing.

Class C's are noisy on the road. We have a Sunseeker 3170 and as far as bang for your buck is concerned, it can't be beat if you have kids or grandkids.
My wife and I started with a 2007 Winnebago Sightseer which was 29 1/2 Ft. We had two large dogs at the time and there wasn't enough room for all of us. When a guest or two joined us, it was trying to live in a small fishbowl. Then we upgraded to a 2010 Sightseer at 33 1/2 ft. It was better but we added central vac. and safety equipment with the stabilizers for the frame and 300 lb stabilizer for the steering, plus real shocks all the way around. Plenty of space plus with the safety equipment I wasn't knocked out of my lane in high gusty winds.
They have some nice looking Class C's these days and there's some out there that are 35 ft. If I were you and had made up my mind to avoid class A's, I'd look for a Super C built on a truck chassis.
After purchasing 3 class A's at RV shows, I've learned all to well to never do it again!!! Smash and Trash is all they are and every time your "dream rig" will suffer.
Take a look at the new coachmen concord. V-10 and the new 6 speed tranny. They are Big Bang for your $$
