Just a general rant

Hopefully some of you will understand my minor irritation. Brought MH to house from storage last Friday. Spent Saturday doing some routine generator service, taking care of a few minor nagging interior issues, and putting some Dicor sealant on a few spots up top. Felt real good to get these items checked off the to do list.

Sooo, I go out Sunday morning to take it back to storage and there are 2 cracks in the windshield, emanating from the very top on the driver’s side. I got out and looked and there appeared to be no rock chip that started the process. I know they weren’t there before. Just appears to be stress cracks. No temp or pressure extreme, just cracks from nowhere.

The only good news is that being a standard E450, the replacement isn’t too expensive, relatively speaking.

Quick tip to verify whether it is truly a stress crack or something else: Take a fine tip ball point pen and slowly run the tip along/in the crack both directions. If there was a small rock chip you didn't see, the pen will "catch" when it gets to that spot. If it is all smooth sailing end to end, it is a stress crack. Stuff happens.
