Leveling off the ground

When you level a motorhome sometimes it raises the front wheels off of the ground. I know the debates on this topic. What I was wondering, has anyone used the Andersen Camper Levels to put under the front tires? Seems it would be easy to lip them under the tires to take off the pressure.

Any thoughts?

Never been in a campground where the front wheels were off the ground but they do that in my drive at the house. Just never worried about it. Obviously, it will be less prone to sway if they're touching the ground, but I never had any issues with it.

My old motorhome was 5 feet shorter, it seems being longer is making me set up where it is more uneven.

Same here. Old one was 30', new one is 39'. Can't quite get the new one level due to the drive slope, but it's close enough for everything to work. The front wheels are about 3" off the ground right now.

More times than not the auto leveler raises the Rear of my 38' and then raises the front wheels off the ground to level everything. Then I readjust everything to get the front wheels down solid. I finally Installed a level "ap" on my phone. I now lay my phone on the floor, and level the coach by adjusting the buttons manually. Takes less time, and the wheels are never in the air now!

According to the LCI user's manual, "NEVER LIFT ALL THE WHEELS OFF THE GROUND TO LEVEL THE COACH! Since it only addresses four wheels, it is implied that two wheels off the ground is acceptable. The one time I did it, I popped the circuit breaker trying to get it to lower. After desperately contacting FR, I learned of the breaker's location in the battery compartment and vowed to never raise the two wheels off the ground again. Sure enough, it happened the very next camp site. So, I carefully repositioned the MH until I could get it close to level before lowering the jacks. As an addition, if things never seem to line up, you may want to consider changing the "zero reference centering point" which allows you to level the coach manually and then identify that as the permanent level point. The reason they don't want the four wheels off the ground is two fold. One, you lose your parking brake when the rear wheels are off the ground. Two, with the entire coach in the air, all the horizontal loads on the coach turn into moment loads (bending) within the levelers; they're designed for a vertical load, not a horizontal load.
