power shades

my mh is at the dlr for a few warranty tweaks and winterization (i know is easy but i cant do it in timley manner due to med problems). so any way i am going to have the dlr install shades and need an opinion on power vs manual ,only a free hundred bux differance so im not concerned about cost ,but an concerned about convienence and reliabilty of thr power shades.

Power shades by all means. Unless you have someone to stand up while you're driving to adjust them when the sun is directly in front of you, you won't be able to reach them. Our unit didn't come with anything other than the useless visors that I can't reach when I drive. I added remote control Smart Visors from Carefree of Colorado in the first 30 days we had the coach.

I agree completely with Charlie. You want the power shades. I didn't have them on my Itasca and it was a pain. If I needed the visor down someone would have to come up front and pull them down because I couldn't reach the visor without standing up. We have the power shades on the Berkshire and it is SO much better.

On the Berkshire the side shades are manual. Not a big deal with those as they are easily reachable from the driver's seat.

Restate my question

My question appartently was not well put. Let me reword the question about power shades.

On the Georgetown I looked it had neither a power front shade nor side shades of any type.

If I order a power front shade do the manual side shades come with the option.

jolin, ours came with the power front privacy shade and sun shade. To the best of my knowledge the side shades are part of the package. We did have ours altered and had the day night shades taken out and the chain driven sun/privacy shades put in our Berkshire so I'm not sure if that change had anything to do with the side shades.
