Rain Channel Seam Issue

Any recommendations for fixing this? Looks like I have a seam in the gutter just over my door. With awning open I had a steady waterfall pouring down to the door through the gap. Looks like they put something over it, but it didn't take. I'll call the service manager later this week, but looks like a pretty easy home fix if I could get an idea of what I should use to seal it.

I just used clear silicone, a little dab and rubbed it in with my finger. Wiped off excess and now no more drip in the most inconvenient place.

Silicone was my first thought. I think that's what's on there now. It's a pretty soft sealant whatever it is they used. Thinking the sun may have shrunk it a bit.

I use a small dab of clear silicon on the inside of the channel and smooth it out with a q-tip. No more leaks for me either.

Clean ALL the Crap they have applied (Inside & Out) of the (Gap) with Acetone! Now take a Pencil and wrap a small (Patch) of Eternabond around it! Like 2x3.Now place the pencil down in the Gutter with (Equal length) of Eternabond on each side of the Gap INSIDE! Now Roll the pencil out and trim the ends of the Eternabond! This will produce a (Strong/Smooth) bridge over the (Gutter Gap)! Buy a Small roll of (Eternabond) you will Need it anyway! Youroo!! PS do the (Other Side) while your at it,cuts down on (Black Streak Lines)!

Rain Channel Seam Issue

I was just cleaning my awning before rain hit. With all the rain did I noticed my gutter is also leaking down the trailer at the seam. I was planning on using clear silicone. Never heard of Eternabond. Where do you find Eternabond? JB Weld maybe too stiff for this application.

Youroo is right in his instructions and boso's correct also in saying silicone won't last. Youroo's way is the best way to fix it.

Send a message via MSN to Tiggerdad
JB Weld or ProFlex non-sag or Dicor non-sag should fix it up. JB Weld would be the cheapest and make a permanent repair.

aceinspp - Eternabond is a wonderful repair tool for RV roofs and who knows what else.
Kind of like duct tape on steroids - sticks and does not let go.
https://www.eternabond.com/

You can find it on amazon or at wallymart dot com or elsewhere.
I keep a small length I bought at wally world in the coach just in case I have an encounter of the ripping kind with a tree branch or some such with my roof.
Herk and others have posted some great information on this stuff.

Here are some threads from the Forum here.
Forest River Forums - Threads Tagged with Eternabond

Hope this helps some.
