Running generator while driving

We're on our first long trip in our new Class c and heading thru Vegas tomorrow where it's supposed to be 115 degrees. Will it hurt our generator to run it all day for the overhead a/c? My husband was concerned it would be too much to run it for hours.

I dry camped in some extreme heat for one night (90's) in my Class C and ran my generator for that same reason. I noticed that my generator got "hot." So I shut it down. I'm not sure it's ok or a bad thing. Hopefully someone else will have a better answer. My answer is NO!

Run ours with no issue while driving. Have made popcorn and espresso too while driving. Live a little.

I have ran mine for up to 48 hours nonstop driving and camping never had any issues

As long as you didn't put the MH in autopilot!

Don't most of the newer ones have auto shutdown in case of overheating? At any rate, moving the coach at highway speeds should help move cooler air over the unit. I'm like many of the others and have run gens for hours moving down the highway!
