Sound proof curtain behind cab?

My motorhome is not that loud, but it's loud enough to make books on tape hard to understand without the volume turned up. I have done the basics, added foam tape at all major rattles, towels between pots.

My next thought is to add a sound blocking curtain just just behind the cab.

Has anyone tried anything like that? How well did it work?

Thanks,

Bill

Assuming you have a front engine gasser, and with my past experience with one, they are so noisy in front I'd doubt a curtain would be of any effect.

I agree with Phill... Having had a gasser before my current diesel I can tell you gassers are very loud and having a curtain will do no good....

Big difference in cabin noise depending on speed. 55mph is considerably quieter than 65.

Climbing a 6% - 7% grade you can't hear anything but engine roar - again, voice of experience....
