Swapping shower head and hose?
I see a lot of posts on swapping out the stock shower head and I am going to do that. I would also like to a new more flexible hose. I see it easily unscrews from the shower faucet. What type of hose should I get that connects to the fitting? Is it residential too? For someone that changed theirs what did you replace them with? The one that came with the RV is pretty basic and does not flex very well.

We got an Oxygenics from Amazon. The head is good, but I just swapped the head because the hose was stiffer than the one that came with the tt. We got the white one. Don’t know if the chrome or brushed nickel has a more flexible hose or not.

I swapped the factory shower head and hose for my Oxygenics Body Spa within the first couple of weeks of getting my last camper. I then won a Oxygenics Fury and swapped just the shower head.
In the new camper, the hose was a nice metal hose so I only swapped the shower head.

I have an Oxygenics in my Amazon cart just as soon as this weather turns for camping. Quite a few items in the cart but need some warm weather.

I also have the Oxygenics Fury, but don't buy the one from Home Depot or other home stores!
Get it at Camping World, or if buying from Amazon or other online retailer...make sure it is the RV version as the inerds are totally different from the home version and is designed to give better shower pressure in an RV while saving water at the same time!
As for the hose, I used the same hose that was in my 5'ver, but saved the one that came with the new shower head in case I need it later!

Showerhead
I went 1 step further. I installed a constant temperature valve similar to the ones found on cruise ships. Set the temp on the right and the volume on the left. The valve automatically adjusts the temp so it is constant. Saves wasting water by not fiddling around. Replaced the showerhead and hose with a European style that has spray, massage and full flow all for under $100. The valve was (at the time) $49.00 on ebay.

Which Ecocamel? They sent me 2 to review and frankly, they sucked. Not nearly the water pressure as either of our Oxygenics. My and another family both tested them and had the same review.

Any chance you can share a link to the valve? I’m curious about it.

I've posted this before and seem to be the outcast but we installed the original style Oxygenics and simply hated it AND the stiff hose. On top of that, it flows more GPM than the stock head. Not good for boondocking. I'm not looking for a 30 minute 'spa' shower anyway.
I've heard the 'Fury RV' is better but unless someone gives me one to try, they won't get any more of my money, especially at $50+

We have the Oxygenics Fury shower with an AquaSource shower hose. The AquaSource is expensive and has went up since I bought the last one. We use them at home and in the MH. Very flexible and lifetime guarantee.

There seems to be a bit of confusion..we put in the ecocamel jetstorm handheld unit, so far we like it, we did not try an oxygenic of any kind. We bought the ecocamel from the ecocamel website. Sorry if I was vague!

Ecocamel saw me complaining about our shower head here on FRF a few years ago and sent me a free jetstorm! We love it, especially when boondocking. The hose is super flexible.
I agree the oxygenics hose is a POS.
I bet you can get a better hose for yours at Home Debit or Lowe's.

The thing about the GPM is while it's an objective measure, the subjective part comes in that I can get a quicker shower with a better shower head than I can with a wimpy one. I don't have to wait for the water to get through my hair. The extra "pressure" from the Oxygenics helps.
For hair thickness/fullness reference, here's a photo of my son and I:
As for the Spa vs. Fury. The Spa boosts the water more than the Fury does. It's better in low pressure situations. But the Fury has multiple settings that we all like and prefer.

Oxygenics Fury Definitely. But spend $10 on a better hose. Here is what I got from Amazon, and it has worked perfectly.
