While all prior responses were great, I now advocate everyone do the following on new campers.

a. eternabond all seams to prevent roof leaks. Neighbor of mine with new camper notice d his RV was missing dictor in a lot of key places.

b. LT tires or as a minimum replace OEM ST tires with Maxxiss ST Tires.

1. A higher pressure water regulator instead of the standard that comes with the camper.
2. A sewer hose that has sealed caps on both ends so there is no need to use the water hose rinsing at the dump station. Just cap it as you disconnect it and go.
4. A cordless drill for those who have manual jacks.
5. A 35 gallon portable tote for when the grey fills early.
6. A couple extra 25 foot white hoses.
7. A 50amp to 30 convertor if your not 50 already.
8. External lighting such as rope lights or a battery powered coleman else bugs will be on the camper.
9. A step for the ground if the lowest step happens to be to high.
10. A rinsable mat. I fold our 10 x 12 and hook a bungee around it for storage.

This is about all the odities i can think of.

A compressor/battery jumper from Costco. You can fill a trailer tire without running a cord.

I built from scratch a 100 watt solar panel that will be used to charge all the gizmos we seem to enjoy while camping...Kindle, iPad and such. I use it to recharge our second 12 volt marine battery while camping w/o services. It will charge the battery in a day or so and give me backup or as a source of energy to invert. Maybe the first few times out you won't need it!

You don't need it right away, but if you want to boondock, you'll want a solar panel and a charge controller. I glued a 100 watt panel to the roof. Morningstar makes a great charge controller. I believe it is the SHS 10. Hook that up, and it will prevent a lot of issues, keep you batteries topped off all the time and make them last much longer. Mine puts out enough power most days to charge the batteries up by noon.

Agreed- solar panel. Also; mattress memory foam topper; windshield and side window privacy covers; ceiling vent covers; vent foam inserts for black out purposes and heat/cold retention; screen door grill(for dogs) and horizontal bar on it. Tension bars for frig, upper cabinets and medicine cabinet to keep items from falling out.
