Used 2005 Georgetown

Well - we did not get to test the Forrester yet. It came in today and is not priced so we are waiting until next week for that (it is being turned in as a trade). Called another, more local RV place and went to see a used class C - Coachman Leprachaun which was great, loaded with extrs, clean, lower mileage but the dinette was removed and just a loose chair was in that spot with a small attached table. So no go. Then the dealer also showed us another consignment sale that is a 2005 Georgetown. Low mielage(9900 miles) - single owner. Lots of extras including a transferrable warranty good until 2014. Dealer is selling it for a customer who has become ill and has to sell. Price has dropped from 57,000 to 54,000. Wondering if we should consider this one and also if this price is as good as he says it is? It felt very large to me and hubby but we did like it. Your thoughts, please??

In order to give you an idea if the price is good we need to know the model. That price varies from very high for the 303 to about right for the 375.

Yes, that helps a lot. The 342DS is 35' long and average retail for a 2005 is about $52k. If it's in great shape it's probably worth a little more and if it's in average or less shape it's probably worth a little less.

Also, are there any additional items added? Satelite?, Inverter? or anything the owner upgraded as well.

Yes - satellite with auto seek, slide out with awnings, patio awning, spare tire and covre, trailer hitch, rear vistion system, wheel liners, gelcoat sidewalls, thermopane windows, electric step and leather seats. This is info from the paper we were given. We were told that the gentleman ordered it with special features he picked out. Thanks for your help... Pat

Sounds like that $54K with the additional items is a pretty fair price. Make them an offer they can't refuse. I'm sure there's still some bargaining dollars in there!

I have a 2007 model 325 SE with 7000miles all the bells and whistles and i've got it up for sale for 69500 so thats sounds like a very good deal.We a loosing a bunch on ours but we have had a major life change and have to sell it, i would hate to take even less but with deals like that i may have to.
Good Luck

From the price you have said, it is worth it and if you are really willing to have it, at any price, you would get it.

Make sure to check the tires! They may not have many miles on them but they could be dry rotted. You might be able to work a new set into the deal.
