We need a motorhome garage - anyone have plans?
I'm not the first person to want to build a motorhome garage, and I've got a few ideas on what would be nice to include, but why re-invent the wheel? What do you have, what do you like about it, what is the downside and what would you do differently were you to do it again?
At this point we're thinking a multi-purpose building with tractor and implement storage as well as the motorhome. I want to put my studio there (which means living space like appointments and I'm thinking above the tractor / implement storage area. I want water, power, sewer, heat and a/c for the studio area (yes sometimes it does get warmish here for at least a couple days). I am also thinking washbay (tiled?) to make cleanup easier as well as a dump connection. I want a full bath (or at least a huge shower) which I'm thinking would be useful in situations having nothing to do with the motorhome like three children covered in pond scum! My suspicion is that we'd do a septic tank only rather than linking it to our existing tank / field. I don't think it would need to be pumped that frequently.
So what am I forgetting? What isn't going to end up being particularly useful? What is this going to cost? What kind of construction is going to make a difference (yes it gets to 40 below here).
Anyone want to share pictures of what they've built?
