2010 30WR Power Converter

What brand and model might be installed? Where is it located? Why would it boil the battery when using 30A shore power? Anyone else have this issue? What is the fix? replacement?
Thanks,
James

Usually they're WFCO brand. Usually it's in the box where your circuit breakers and fuses are. That brand doesn't handle small "parasitic"
loads well (like propane/CO detectors). It may be defective as well.

Most recommend replacing that with the Progressive Dynamics brand.

Mine is 50 amp and a Parallax I think in the 500 series. Mine has been plugged in for months to shore power and my battey levels never change. I would say you have a problem.

Replace with a Progressive Industries unit. Your unit has lost it's ability to sense the battery condition and limit charging amps. Common problem, it seems with OEM converters

Actually, I had to learn this one too as I confused the names. Progressive Dynamics and Progressive Industries are two different companies who both make RV products.

PD is out of Michigan:

History of Power Converters and Battery Chargers from Progressive Dynamics

PI is out of North Carolina:

Progressive Industries
