34RL Generator Fuel Line

I just purchased a 2008 34RL with a Onan 5500 gas generator and fuel station. Periodically the generator stops running, and when it does, the clear fuel filter between the fuel pump and the generator is practically empty. After it sits for a few minutes, I can restart it, but I've noticed air bubbles in fuel filter. I traced the fuel line back through another fuel filter between the gas tank and the fuel pump, and see air bubble there while running as well. I replaced that fuel filter, and still have the air bubbles, so somewhere between that fuel filter and the fuel tank there is a leak.

I'd like to replace the fuel line. I can see the fuel line routed over the top of the fuel tank, but can't tell where the fuel line actually ties into the tank. Any advise would be appreciated.

Also there is no fuel level gauge anywhere that I can see. Has anyone added a fuel level indicator for the fuel tank?

I have a 2006 same as yours. I had the same issues. I did away with the inline filter at the carb. and replaced the metal filter underneath the base with a new one and also replaced the fuel pump. Since then, I have had no problems. I would also like to add a level sensor on the tank.
