Very nice. I've used mine more as a patio than as a ramp (so far).

... thanks. We have used it only one trip and that was in the photo. The TH is primarily for our bike so obviously we use the door as a ramp most often.

... thanks and they are clear plastic coated 1/4". The upper brackets were mounted during the build as part of our order and the cables, bolts, washers and brackets came loose in a box at our request. For liability reasons, they would not provide the patio door option without the rails.

[QUOTE=BrianSF-GA;1074023]The sugary sands and aquamarine water of Florida's Emerald Coast in Destin, Florida ....

I'm from south louisiana and have stayed in Gulf Shores, Navarre, Destin, Sandestin, Pensacola many many times...

in borrowed RV's we have stayed at Fort Pickens a few times. so my question is where were you able to be on the beach like that?? Santa Rosa in Navarre is nice but again, its on the sound, so how did you get on the gulf like that with an RV.

on a side note, i want a toy hauler for my GS Beemer but i'll have to wait on that.
one of my friends that also rides a GS Beemer bought a new dually & a 100ft grand design toy hauler. i know i exaggerated but it looks that long..

look forward to hearing back from you......
you stand to make my wife VERY HAPPY with a workable answer!!

Google Camp Gulf and you will find it ... it is just west of Sand Destin Beach Resort which is another place we frequent, but without the bike ... they are not allowed.

This was the first year we took a toy hauler on our annual "beach vacation" and enjoyed it. I like having the bike on vacation, but it will be a rare thing .... it was fun to stay in it on the beach, but we prefer a beach front house or hotel room. This is our second toy hauler ... the first was an 18EC and was small. We custom ordered this one in April of last year (2015) and love it ... it is like having a mobile apartment. We attend alot of bike rallies every year and that is our main purpose for having a toy hauler and we plan to hit Sturgis soon before we are too old.

Our old rally setup ...

Our new rally setup ...

thanks for the heads-up on the sandestin/miramar rv beach camp.
my wife loved it!!!
could you tell me how far the RV "beach sites" (not beach front but just behind that) are from the beach? for walking distance?

awesome set up. that is so cool.
I've been to the harley plant in WI.
we are hoping for some across the country RV'ing.....
BTW, i should be riding to camden/rockland, maine in May....

thank you again for the info!!

Added "Patio" to Ramp Door-2016 25ULA

I've considered doing something similar, but worry about the ramp/door/patio strength. But if I did, rather than the cables, I was thinkin of mounting a couple of the scissor stabilizers which would make it adjustable for un level surfaces. Not to mention I'm only drilling into the ramp and not the Hauler itself, and I'm pushing on the ramp instead of pulling on the frame.

I am not sure what hauler you have, but the strength of this install is not an issue. It is the exact same setup as the factory provided option #10150, but without the $1,449 price (retail) and the unnecessary rails.

It's the WnP 275ULSBS. I don't recall seeing it as an option on these. But I imagine it's structural similar.

That's coincidental ... a new-style 275ULS is what gave me the idea of having Forest River add just the patio door gussets to our build. Several of the new-style 275ULS's on the lots we visited had the gussets installed, but did not have the patio door option. When we placed our order, I requested the gussets installed in our 25ULA and asked for the hardware for the door. The trailer came in with the gussets installed and a box full of miscellaneous nuts, bolts, washers, brackets and cables for a patio door install and voila .... we added the patio door.

Yea, we thought about that, but then would have to drag around the jack stands. Call us lazy, but we already too much stuff to drag around and setup ... chairs, grill, party speaker, motorcycle chock, coolers, extra fuel. We like to get setup as quick as possible because we have limited time.
