Adding stabilizers

My toy hauler seems to bounce when someone is walking around. X-chocks help but there is still the bouncing motion.

I am thinking of adding a mother set of scissor jack stabilizers just in front of the axels to eliminate the bounce. It looks like I can just weld them right onto the frame.

Will this help? Any downside I am missing?

That is where we put ours,but bolted them on! Youroo!!

I just use two of these: Aluminum Stack Jacks, set of 2 - Camco 44561 - Stabilizing Jacks - Camping World


They can take the weight and keep the axle from flexing when camping.

Thanks. I will try these to see if they work. I can then decide if I want to weld scissor jacks on or just use the stands when needed.

A simple U bracket welded to the jack with a single bolt will secure it to the 2 x 4 tube on a Flagstaff/Rockwood 5er which I have. Herk now has the jacks as I put on a set of modified electric jacks.

I get a tremendous amount of bound when someone is walking in my Windjammer. I wondering if I'm not putting enough pressure on my stabilizer jacks. I know not to lift the trailer with the jacks, so I just stop when I make solid contact with the ground. Will a little more pressure be better? When I run them down they actually lift the trailer a teeny bit, that's when I let off the switch. I also got a pair of X-chocks, they really didn't help.
