If the brake hardware is questionable. You might want to price out 4 complete brake units. 4 bolts and 2 wires your done. (new seals and repack bearings too). I just finished a complete brake replacement on a friends horse trailer. I think the 4 6000lb brake units were like $62.95 each. Very well worth it. But If your camper is new I would make the dealer make good on it.

I got 4 new brake assemblies , next question the magnets each have 2 white wires, does it matter which way I wire them to the trailer wires? That 44 for each seal wasn`t a typo that's what auto zone price was. I found them @ redtrailer.com for $3.55 each that's more like it.

Make sure you set them in correctly . I ran to 55mph then max brake on the controller. Did that about 8 times with a 5 minute cool down. My beaks temp would go to 190 degrees after a max stop and I let them cool to around 120
