On hot humid days the a/c coils will start to freeze.
There's a frost sensor on the coils if it detects freeze up it will defrost momentarily then fire back up full speed ahead.
One trick is more air flow.
If your unit is ducted just open up the quick cool dump for better air flow.
If its not a ducted unit there's little to do but keep your filter clean.
