Fiberglass sides :-( what to do

Alrighty so we all know this work and play line of toy haulers have fiberglass sides. What is the benifit of the fiberglass sides vs. a metal painted sided trailer?

I recently picked up a black 06 18lt that has been garage kept up until 6 months ago and the sides look amazing no oxidation to the fiberglass what so ever and I'd like to keep it that way.

Is there any product that will prevent the fading of the sides short of building a shed specifically for it?
We plan on moving in the next few months and I haven't gotten a copy of the HOA documents and don't know if I can even have a detached carport or shed or even park a trailer in the back yard.

So for the time being what can we w&p owners do if our trailers have to sit out in the elements for extended periods of time?
Wax?
Products?
Cover?

Your best defense is a good wax properly applied. It will resist UV damage as well as water/element damage.

I have a 8 year old boat that people still think it brand new. I just keep it well waxed.

Then a good quality cover. Any trailer should stay looking nice with proper waxing a good cover.

How often do you wax The boat and does it stay out in the elements or is it covered in some fashion?

2x a year, it is covered with a UV resistant cover.

Try this - it's from the marine and airplane industry. Purchase it buy the gallon on Ebay for a better price. 303® Aerospace Protectant 1 Gallon - Protectant

Wash and let RV dry. Then apply with a swiffer style mop makes easy work of it.

I would put a good quality wax on it. Even though I park mine under a metar RV Port when I got mine home first thing I did was wash it and put a nice carnuba wax on it. You should get a nice fabric cover for it. No matter where you park it you should be able to use that..

303 is an incredible product, I use it on the vinyl on my boat and it works very well.

But for fiberglass I would just use a good wax. 303 will not coat as well, it is designed to soak in, and it will not last as long as wax will.
