Glacier National Park area campground advice

Along with two other RVs, we are headed to Glacier Nat Park in late July. A long way from south Florida. We need some advice on where to stay. We plan on motorcycle riding the area and want convenience to the park but close to other attractions as well. Also, how important do you think it is to have reservations?

I see there are a lot of campgrounds in the area but we're not even sure what town to stay in. Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks, Mark

We have stayed in both the East and West Glacier KOA campgrounds. One comment about the East Glacier CG is that it is WINDY !!

We are staying at Rocky Mountian High RV park, about 30 miles outside of the park the first part of July. Never been there but we understand that resverations for most are recommended.
We looked at RV park reviews and had favorable reviews.
