Help mounting spare tire to fold down door

I have a 2005 18 ft Work and Play I just bought. I'd like to mount the spare tire on the rear fold down door. Would anyone be kind enough to share their story doing this? Thanks for your help.

Hey are U still looking for info on spare tire mount....i have 2006 18LT that came with spare already mounted to ramp door ....could send photos in needed. it's definitely the way to go so that you don't lose interior space.

Could you post some pics? I have a WPT30WR and was going to mount a spare on the rear door. How much ground clearance do you have between the spare and the ground when the door is down?

Almost finish with installation.
I decided to use two 8" galvanized carriage bolts and to metal plates on each side of the door.
I need to modify it little bit, since the door is hollow.
The inside - is plywood and the outside skin is thin fiberglass panel. I need to make sleeve around carriage bolts, so one side of the sleeve will rest on the plywood and the other will be my support of outside metal plates. I'm thinking to make it out of PVC pipe and make hole in fiberglass to the same diameter on the PVC pipe.

Interested in seeing pics and or a writeup on this.
I like the idea of a tire there but not too keen on drilling holes through my door.
Also does anyone foresee any problems when letting the door down?

Finished installation. Got 3/8 steal sleeve in Lowe's. They were lillte too short, so I got 3 sleeve and used one to cut to the lenth to be leveled with fiberglass sceen, than put plate and rubber gusket and some caucking stuff to seal. Now it very solid and should hold tire with no problem. After cleaning my TT will put rubber bumper or else, so the tire during driving would not rubb fiberglass panel. 1-st pic - inside view, 2-nd - back of the TT door. (On the inside plate - I have to make sqare holes to fit carrge bolts)
