Jack TV Antenna

Has anybody replaced their Omni Directional TV antenna with a Jack Antenna? I would require drilling a big hole.

I just replaced the head itself. BTW, if someone wants a batwing antenna (factory) if they pay the shipping, I will send it to them free. It's just wiretied to the back bumper now.

I was sitting in Thousand Trails Orlando and got 35 or 36 channels with the batwing and changed to the Jack and never moved anything and got 84 or 85 channels. I works great for me and is a lot smaller.

I got this one, King Controls Jack TV For Free OA8000 VHF UHF Amplified TV RV Antenna (OA-8000), and just replaced the batwing part. Took me all of 10 minutes and works great. Get much better reception. I could use the Wingman extension on my normal antenna due to the position of the A/C, but this fits fine.

I switched it out on my last camber to the Jack and I was able to almost double the amount of channels that received, I liked it very much!!! It was easy to operate as well. The changeout was a bit difficult on mine due to rotted wood on the roof but other than that it was great. The only thing other than what came with it was a Jack Mounting Plate and it was an extra 20 bucks.

what do you all think of the Jack compared to Batwing? I am staying on the Washington Coast at a place I've been to before. I'm getting channels I didn't use to get on the batwing. But on the other hand, channels I used to get on batwing I am NOT getting on JACK. And, some channels that came in great on batwing are fading in and out on JACK. But then again, on the Washington Coast, I sometimes feel my Verizon signal and my JACK TV signal goes in and out with the ocean tides........

I had a BATWING on my previous RV. My new RV has JACK. I like it, but sometimes miss the batwing. I will be traveling to some places that I went last year, I'll do some more comparisons.
