Interesting they sell a flip kit but you can't flip them?

I saw a flipped 28 foot Work and Play a few years ago. I don't know how he did it but it was definetly lifted and he told me he had a trailer place flip the axles? It is probably just a common frase that one uses when lifting but not actually flipping the axle because I think windrider is right.

I think with the Dexter Kit you would remove the axles slid them under the leaf spring. Put the new perch from the kit on the top of the axle and bolt it down.. I would think the new spring perch would have to be welded on the axle.

Other things that will change will be ramp angle, trailer overall height and you may have to add extentions to your trailer leveling jacks..

Got the axles under the springs now. Will try to get the perches welded this week. Worked great. Now I have about 13" of clearance to my plumbing. I can also add a step and move my spare under the tongue. I also moved my propane tanks up against the front wall, added a tongue box and an extra battery. Thinking of adding a 50 gal fresh water tank between the cross members when I get a little extra cash.

Looks good! You will love the extra ground clearance off-road.

Thanks. Can't wait to take it to the deer lease this Memorial Day for a tryout. I think the extra height will also help with draining the waste tanks. I was having a problem with it being too low before.

Looks much more practical for your use now. When the time comes, you can upgrade tires/wheels to something a little taller to fill some of the wheel well. Seeing your trailer gives me ideas for my 24' Haulmark.

Unfortunately last time I took it out I had to get a couple new tires so I'll be stuck with the stock size for a couple years. But, that's ok like you said it's alot more practical now and I won't be worried about ripping the plumbing off.

Looks good. You may have to get jack exntions now! What year and model is that? If you think your plumbing hangs low you should see mine... But I never take mine off road...

Thanks. Mine is a 2003. I went to Home Depot and got a pressure treated 6"x6"x8' beam and cut it into 12" pieces to put under the stabilizer and tongue jacks.

Yep, I am thinking of some sort of guard for the sewer line just in case I get in a situation where it might hit.
