Lockable Battery Boxes

Sudsy30 posted a question about a lockable battery box for the WP trailers.
I could not reply tothe post because of the age of the post.

I installed a UWS 5th wheel box on the front rack.
The box is only 10” tall. I have two deep cycle batteries and one generator starting battery in the box. The picture only shows two batteries, I have since added the third battery.
I drilled several 1” holes in the back and bottom of the box to vent any battery gas.
I also installed a power cut off switch feeding the trailer.
I placed a small rubber strip to the top of the box where it hits the trailer cap. The box will not open fully, but it opens enough to remove the batters and get to the tools and camping items.

Wow, that's nice work! I really like that you can keep all of your power-related equipment in there and that it expands the available battery space.

... pretty sharp setup. I did something similar only with a little more room.

Battery box would be a good idea if you put anything metal in that box, if it bounces and hits the posts you got a custom arc welder. Looks like a great job on the build.
