I installed one in our Keystone Sprinter a couple of months ago to replace a non-powered vent. I used butyl tape between the flange and the roof (as the directions called for on a rubber roof) then covered the screws and sealed around the edge with Dicor. Putty tape is used if the roof isnít rubber.

The roof was about 4Ē thick and the inside trim ring covered fine. Most of the work was removing the old vent without damaging the roof covering and cleaning the old sealant before installing the new one.

I canít help you on the wiring. I had to fish wires. Itís a real pita fishing wires in these trailers. Sometimes impossible.

Thanks for the note, my real concern is that the Work and Plays have an aluminum roof and they tell you in the advertising they use silicone sealant, there is already a mini fan in the front, so I should be good there, but no fan on rear vent...

I think they recommend putty tape between the roof and flange for the metal roof. I donít know why Dicor wouldnít work on top, but Iím no expert. Dicor is easier to remove than silicone seal, but of course you hope you never have to.

The MaxAir fans do work well. The FanMate cover allows you to leave the vent open all of the time. Leaving them open keeps the tt from getting musty when not in use.
