THIS IS NOT MY RIG but I like this guys setup. When I was researching this I found a lot of guys that had done the deck support mod for the same reason. I also like the Heartland Cyclone Deck setup. I want to add a deck screened room as well.

I used the same concept on my Puma 27sbu, works great. It had 2x2 steel square tube for the door frame on the trailer side and aluminum frame on the ramp door, I used "bed bolts" and threaded the bolt in from the backside rather than using their jamnut, all SS hardware on the outside.
