Where can I get a bit for these Torx-like screws on this W&P?
I got some mods I want to do but I need to remove these screws.

Should be a number 2 square bit found at any hardware store.

Nope, not that one. There are a bunch of Torx type on these. There are some of the ones you speak of too. I have it.
These look like a torx but my torx bits won't fit.

Any tool/hardware store has an assortment...usually $10-15 with "ALL" the bits you will ever need, unless they are like bigger than a 1/4" or so.

Not having any luck there. May have to get one from the dealer. The last ones I removed with the drill the head off method...replaced with a more common screw/head.
Thanks for the help though

Could be some sort of anti-tamper screw. Would not see why, but it could be. Our local True Value sells a complete set of anti-tamper bits for around $20.

I see part of the problem. These are 12 point torx, my bits are 6 pt. I never knew there was such.
Also in looking at my TH I find that there are at least 5 different screw heads.
( there is also the anti-tamper ones)
Plus bolts.

KD1, the picture looks like an 8 pt, not 12 unless my eyes are playing tricks on me.

I only count 8 points in that photo. If it was 12, then the 6's should have had enough bite to be able to turn them.

It's strange to see them using a non-standard screw like that. My trailer's only been #2 robertson's, #2 Philips or staples.
