If your in the planning stages, did you know you can order your Work and Play taller for more head room?

Other points of interest if I was ordering today.....

50amp wired garage for second AC (mine came that way)

Adding a second gray tank

Added support for fresh water tank (did it myself)

Wired for Satellite (wired it myself)

TV Outlet in Garage (added myself)

Black and Gray tank hydro cleaners (added myself)

Solar option pre installed solar panel on roof......

They should keep the aluminum clad roof but make it so you can walk on roof by adding plywood before laying the roof down..........

i placed my order in early oct. we will be viewing ours this coming Friday.

my spec sheet:
40RLS
4 season insulation - (seems to be a joke)
30k furnace
10g water heater
exterior shower
pre wired 50 am to garage
prewired tv to garage
beavertailed frame
extra entrance door
+spare tire and aluminum wheel

i asked about extra height - nope
i asked about extra Grey and Black tanks - nope
i asked about 7x axles, "G" Rated tires instead of the 6 - nope (this one i'm doing myself before we move west)
i asked about garage floor covering - yup. for 2200 bucks....

seems to be a well built unit (aside from the non walk on roof). a friend has one, and loves it. but has said mounting things inside is an issue due to teh studless construction.

we're excited none the less, and look forward to taking delivery in two weeks. then we will see if my old truck will live another year yanking it around....

Sounds like you have done your research. If they don't enclose the underbelly after spray foam I think I would skip that option and do it myself with foam board insulation...

When you order the Artic Package, in addition to the foam floor, you get double pane windows, heated waist & water tanks, some type of insulation liner, I think they called it artic shield.
But the down side to the foam floor, is my fresh water tank gauge is not working. Only way to fix, is to cut foam away from the tank.
I decided to not fix it.

Since its almost done, it want help much, but you can get extra height.....The only problem with extra height is they mount the cabinet's higher....which is difficult for my short wife...I ordered my 40 rls 6" taller (im 6'4") so I needed it.

Ive mounted a few things on the inside without much issue.

Mine has the foam sprayed on bottom. Included with the artic package..The foam broke loose from the fresh water tank the 1st time I filled it up exposing the tank heater, which is just a flat heating element glued to the bottom of the tank. I plan to repair myself, just haven't yet.

For the 2015 model year, the 6" extra tall was included as a standard, for an 84" interior height. That's what I was told.... Sure better be, or my jeep won't fit....that would be bad.

I know your hauling a bit lighter over all than I will be, but with more pin weight due to lighter cargo. Have you noticed any issues with an srw truck? I am going to get thru the 2015 year with my current F250. Our plan is to have the RLS paid for by this time next year, that would allow me to step to a DRW or maybe even a class 8 tote truck....
