Ours is not. However it would have been fine to have left it on that day since it was only being moved two hours away and was hooked to shore power when we parked it but it's habit to turn the battery off

I've had fan driven heaters in trailers since the '70s and also have never heard of that, but it does seem like one of those situations that is so obvious no one sees it.

At some point during every day you suddenly realize nothing else productive is going to happen the rest of that day. For me, it usually occurs around 9 am.

This is our 2nd one but we had the first one for less than a year. This is our first cold season with one. Glad my duh moment could be of service to you. 😄
