We just purchased a 2013 18ec. Took it out for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed oursleves. We ride 4 wheelers quite a bit from the fall through spring and the 18ec seems to be exactly what we need.
I'm pulling it with my 2011 F150 using a weight distribution hitch and a sway bar. The truck pulls with no problems but the rear sqaut is a bit more than I would like. At times it feels like the trucks suspension is a bit overwhelmed. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Have you added any suspension upgrades? Thanks for any input.
I have a 2013 18EC as well. I use a 2013 Gmc 2500 Duramax to tow. It has no prob towing the trailer using a WD hitch I had laying around. I put Firestone ride-rite airbags in so I could adjust the rear truck height alittle. Love those air bags.

I pull my 27RKSS at around 8000 lbs or so with a stock F150 with no sagging at all. You might need to adjust the WD a little. I use a Blue Ox WD chain type hitch I took it up one link and it leveled it out. Now it pulls almost like it's not back there.
Have you checked the tongue weight on it? Work and Plays have a lot of tongue weight. You may be as high as 1500 lbs and not realize it and or your weight distribution bars might be too light.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm sure the issue isn't a improperly loaded trailer because the sag occurs even when the trailer is empty. However, I discovered today the TW is 1,163 (I thought it was closer to 850) and my WDH says it's rated to 1,000. I'm checking on new, higher capacity spring bars for the hitch.
I'm also thinking about adding either air bags or a Roadmaster Active Suspension to the truck. Right now I'm leaning toward the RAS. Any thoughts?
If 1163 lbs. is the number your got off the website or a brochure you may want to wait on getting spring bars until you actually weigh your rig loaded at the scales or use a sherline tongue weight scale. The numbers could be drastically different depending on your trailer options, how you have it loaded, batteries, generator, water etc...

Air bags in the back will sole this problem and give you a level and better ride.
