Travel with table up or down?
I am getting ready for about a 7,000 mile road trip from Florida to Washington, down the Pacific coast and back east. My previous camper had a folding table which had to be secured. This camper has the two pole mount and then then lowers to sit on a lip on the dining room bench to make a bed.
When traveling should I leave the table in the up position on the posts or lower it? It seems to me that the table will have a lot of movement as we bounce down the road and will eventually work loose.

We have a 2 post table, and have never had a problem with it toppling while traveling.

I don't have an answer, but thanks for asking - I was curious about the same with our 3-post table.

When we had those kinds of tables, we always put them down to prevent possible loosening of the pedestals. Why chance asking for problems? Call it preventive maintenance.

We have the crappy folding leg table. We travel with it up and use a bungee cord to keep it from banging around and the (stupid) drawers from opening.
Hook to one drawer handle, around the table leg, and hook to other drawer handle.

I have a two pole table and I store one of the kids bike under it. It fits very nice and nothing moves around.

When we had our travel trailer we had a two pole table and always traveled with it up. Never had a problem.

I accidently left ours down for a short trip and it slid out and hit the cabinets. Will always make sure it is up now before traveling.

As a kid my parent's TT had the 2-pole (or was it 1 pole?) table. Always traveled with it up. My TT has the folding legs, so we travel with it down.

We put the table down but then we try to eat outside as much as possible to keep from having to set it up. It seems like every time I take it down a pole tries or succeeds at getting one of my shins.
On the road we keep a dog cage surrounded by bedding and other gear on the "bed" that we take down once the slide it out.
If we keep this TT much longer we may get a table lift system, but hopefully we will be in a bunkhouse with a u-shape dinette in the near future.

When we had a two pole table on the last trailer it was never off, never took it off to use it as a bed either. No problems never loosened, we stored our outside chairs under it traveling. Now we have a 3 pole table only have had it off to "see what the bed would look like"
Never had any issues with any of our campers in 30+ years never traveled with the table down. Never had any of the poles loosen.

Our trailer has a free standing table and always out it down, or it just fall and could break the window.

Have the wobbly folding table. Put it down. It has Velcro that makes it stick to the booth so it doesn't slide.

Our 12 Flagstaff 8528RKWS has a free standing table and 4 chairs. Table is screwed to the floor and we bungee cord the 2 chairs on each side together. No problems.

Since our table fell on our brand new trailer last weekend, with just my two kids on it (35lbs and 45lbs), I'm going to get two lightweight tubes, just small enough to fit in the mounts, and cut them off so that when the table is in the down position, the poles will handle most of the weight instead of the cheesey, laminated particle board that is only stapled onto the booth. So, if the table is in the down position, it will be locked in place and supported by the short poles and the booth rails. Seems like the best of both worlds. A person could also easily cross drill the tops and bottoms of each and put a pin through them. Then there is no way it can pop up and come off, and the booth takes the wiggle out of it which could loosen the mounts. I'll probably try this when I get our trailer back from having all the tin put back on both sides.

Ditto except that ours came with 4 chairs. Took two out and put them in storage along with one of the bar stools that came in it.
