TV Antenna

Han anyone replaced their Saucer Omni Directional TV antenna with a Bat Wing or jack antenna? I find the saucer antenna prety much useless... I know the roof construction on the Work and Play is not typical of most RV's (ie) no real plywood shething and was wondering if the roof structure is stong enough to support a crank type tv antenna? I think I read somewhere that the new Jack antenna which would be my first choice has a optional mounting plate?
