window covering?

My 2017 Work and Play 30WRS is working out just fine, seems I learn something new every day (first time RV owner, but have pulled many horse/stock trailers over the past 40 years).

The entrance door window does not have any window covering or shade to pull down at night. I've been hanging a towel over it for privacy, but would like a more permanent solution.

What I have found in searches (Amazon, etc) are reflective shields that keep the heat out/heat in - that's not what I'm looking for! A shade to pull down or a permanent see out/can't see in type would be great. Anyone have an idea where to look or something to suggest?

Thanks!

Quick answer- thanks! I've seen those on Amazon, not quite what I'm looking for.

Well perhaps you can be a bit more specific. You said "A shade to pull down or a permanent see out/can't see in type would be great." What other options are there?

You could certainly mount a roller shade on the door. Small screws, silicone them. Never come off. Alernately, glue a block of wood to the door with a valance attached. No big deal. Again I'd use a silicone adhesive. It would pop off with fishing line if you want. But stick like cement.

My wife made a nice heavy curtain for that window. We use two of those stick on hooks to hang it one. Did the same thing to the window in the bed area. Works great.

Thanks for the ideas! I don't sew, but I should be able to find 'something'
to use as a curtain w/rod to put up with hooks. I'll have to see if I can find
hooks flush enough to not interfere with the screen.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Entry door window

We had the same problem in our W&P 16UL. I had cut off a shower curtain that was too wide for our tiny shower so I had some of it left over and it was wide enough for the entry door. I cut it to length and used the grommets on top to hang from peel and stick hooks above the door. It's not beautiful but quite functional. We take it down every morning and it folds up easily and is tucked away in the bathroom cabinet.

Thanks for your reply - still haven't done anything! Was looking at the stick on/static privacy film but it doesn't work at night - that's not much help!

Appreciate all the ideas.

Thanks!

How about some silicone dots with velcro stuck on them and put velcro on a towel or pillow case?

Years ago I had similar problem in a TT. I was at Home Depot and saw some Fake Stained Glass static cling window film. It was in a roll. Different styles, patterns. It worked very well for my application and looked spiffy too.

I had looked at similar items on Amazon and some of the reviews said those products worked in reverse at night (you can see in but not out).
Kinda gave up on that...but if it worked for you, maybe I should try it.
Will be in the vicinity of a Home Depot this week and will check it out.

Thanks!

the idea we use is not curtains and we don't use the pull-down accordion shades, .... our goal is privacy at night and we've found nothing better than Reflectic, I cut a custom fit piece for each window, ... we use the pull-down shades and the opening handles at the bottom to hole them in place, ... when they are in place, its almost impossible to even tell there's lights on in the trailer, ... we remove the ones we want to during the day, ... we have the dark tented windows which allow seeing outside w/out seeing inside during daytime, but can be seen thru at night when lights are on, ..... I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but might be an idea worth considering, we've used this idea on all three trailers and love the privacy it provides, ...

Nice job, Fella10. I'll spend more time at Home Depot and check all the options mentioned above.

Thanks!
