Work and play 30WR tire rubbing

Hi All, just took a trip recently with my new 2013 Work and Play WR, noticed with my 2008 Heritage softail in it, the tires look like they scuffed against the frame on the side the bike was in. Anybody ever experience this? Just wondering if a dip in the road would do this and it was an isolated thing? The dealer has offered to put the next width axle in to give an additional 1/2" clearance on each side.
Other than a few minor issues like the stabilizer legs not installed tight, a cracked trap in the kitchen sink, the spray nozzle in the kitchen sink also cracked, we love the trailer. It is black and i have 4 coats of Mothers Carnuba wax on it, always looks great and gets a lot of compliments in the camp grounds.
Let me know if you have run into any type of rubbing issue.

Gary

Mine were rubbing on panels and upper finder, with only bicycles n a small gen set in garage. Dealer used lower bolt holes on frame,to raise trailer about 1" and ground any other intrusive material away.

Do not know yet how much it helped, but it has to b better ! We also had the sprayer handle in kitchen replaced, due to cracking.
By the way we pulled the W&P 5500 mi and it evidently was not too bad, we made it home, with tires intact. !

Interesting

Hmmm, i will have to look at the holes in my spring mounts, a lot less work than new axles, thanks for the post.

Just checked my 2011 WR and no rubbing. I also haul a full dress Harley on the passenger side. I see Buckeye has a WRS are you hauling on the slide side? I wonder if the extra weight from the slide could be causing issues? What size tires did your 2013 come with?

Also, I don't have the extra hole on my setup.

Hello Gary, I have hauled two large cruiser bikes in the back of mine which together weighed a little over 1500lbs and have never had it scrub. Currently all that I am hauling is a 550 lb golf cart and a few various other items in the garage. We got the dealer to install a new awning because they somehow messed up the original one while it was in the shop for repairs due to the tree falling on it and I got them to come to the house to do it. Other than the few items that you mentioned are you liking your toy hauler. We still like ours and cant wait to use it every chance that we get.
