Thought it might be worth reviving an old thread. I've owned my 25ULA since new in Fall or 2010 and have nothing but good reviews. I've hauled motorcycles, 4 wheelers, and lots of gear on "guy" trips, but also like the open floor plan/versatility on family outings. When alone, I pull the toys out and then drop the couch and the rear bench of the dinette to form and L shaped couch. This leaves most of the floor for "stuff".
The W&P replaced a Fleetwood Tioga (Class C) - 31v w/ slide. The Tioga was nice, but not in anyway versatile, and I still had to pull a trailer for mcycles, etc. And even without the slide, the ULA offers more space.
I have had two (okay 3) issues with the ULA. First, one of the reasons I purchases was because it was advertised, and sold, as 1/2 ton towable. I guess technically this is correct, but I bet most who have done so have cut permanent grooves into their steering wheels. My 2010 HEMI pulled it okay, but it was stressful and mileage was DISMAL. With a 22 gallon tank, I needed to refuel every two hours or so. I recently upgraded to a 3/4 ton RAM CTD and towed the ULA about 40 miles. Much different experience
Second, while almost new, someone broke into my camper while at a storage facility and took a few odds and ends, + my integrated stereo/dvd player. There was not enough damage to claim on insurance, so I went out of pocket to replace.
And second (redux), a couple of months ago I had left my camper at deer camp, which has been in the family for 50 years with no issues, for a week after season ended, with plans to go back the following weekend to bring it home. Guess what, it was broken in to, along with the barns, shop, ranch managers home, and another camper. This time I had to turn in a claim as there was a lot stolen, and a lot of damage done to the door and interior walls. Disgusting.
North Texas RV got the repair job, and they are top notch. Returned it after a month and a half in the shop, ready to camp. To minimize the risk of further losses, I have moved the TH into an indoor storage unit which is closely monitored. It is a bit more expensive, but I hope that over time it will take less abuse from the Sun, and/or felons. Nothing is 100%, but I like my stuff and want to protect it as much as possible.
Here is a photo of my rig. Now I just have to find the time to get the family out for a trip!
