Mybe your fridge has the same buttons?
Mine has these buttons also. I believe the in position is auto. When in the auto position the "check" light comes on after a few seconds. I can leave it this way for a couple days and the fridge still won't cool on shore power.

when the check light comes on. nothing else will happen until u reset it (turn it off and back on). should start the sequence all over again. once the air is out and the propane hits the burner, the burner should stay lit and the check light won't come on.

try the auto/gas switch in the other position and see if it works.

Ok. I press the auto button to "IN" position while I am conneted to a 30AMP power source and the fridge cools using AC/power. It will not work on battery only.

I press the auto button to the "OUT" position and the LP kicks in (you can hear the klicking) and cools the fridge. I use this option while travelling to keep fridge cool while on the road.

One thing I read on the manual is that the trailer must be leveled or else the fridge will not cool, it has something to do with the freon inside the aluminum canister.

ok, if i understand correctly, the frig work normal until u disconnect the 30 amp.
do the lights in the trailer work when u disconnect?
if i'm reading it right, installing a battery is the only thing left to make it run on dc.
