'03 Rockwood Roo New Owner

Hi,

I am a new owner of a 2003 Rockwood Roo M232. I am not new to RV'ing but I am a New Owner of my own RV, I use to rent pop-ups or class C's from the Navy MWR program. Anyhow....

I am very happy with my new Hybrid however I am seeing alot of damage and what looks like to be that the damage comes from water leaks. Both fold outs are in pretty bad shape on the bottom where the hinges are, the wood underneath the wall paper is spongy to the touch as well.

I also see the same issue on the slide out, the seal looks broken on the right side (side towards the front) and thats the same side that has damage on the panel. But right now I want to tackle one thing at the time - the Beds!

I've done some research within this site as well as others. I am looking to getting some information on both.....
-Homemade repairs and buying (if they sell it) the entire fold out brand new.

Please help out with what you can, I know there's some info on past threads so if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.

you can contact FR parts dept. but they might not have bunk doors for that old of a hybrid.
did you buy this, knowing you'd have to do all of this work?

it sounds like the previous owners did very little preventative maintenance at all.

i suggest visiting all the hybrid forums you can find and do searches on "bunk door replacment".

If you do an internet search there are RV 'junkyards'/parts places where you might be able to find one.

Good Evening FRF...

Here are a few pictures of the damage, I removed the bottom part of the wood that was already rotting away, unfortunately I noticed when I removed the old panels that the welds of the frame are split. I can get a friend to give it a few spot welds, I suppose I can re-panel it but i'm worried about future leaks...

has anyone had this problem and got it resolved?

Just rebuilt the front hatch on mine this weekend. Am going to do the rear next week. Estimates of 500-600 a door for repair motivated me to research and do the work myself. It was pretty straight forward and not requiring any exceptional skills, just attention to details and tedious labor like stripping the old Lauan off the filon skin.
