110v and 23ikss

When only plugging in to 110v at my house, what can I expect not to be able to use? Air conditioner for sure but what else or is that all that won't work?

The AC is the only high amp horse that is a problem, you may need to limit the number of things used at the same time, micro and a hair drier for example.

Thanks!! So the air cond won't work, but as long as I don't try to use to many of the others at the same time they should all work is that correct?

Make sure to use a heavy duty extension cord (to prevent voltage drop).

Partly correct. Your AC might work if no other load is on. Here is a post of normal amp draw in RV's

I can run the AC on a 20 amp circuit, but nothing else besides the converter.

Having camped at a state park for years that has only 5 full service sites and tons of 20 amp sites, I can say with confidence the following: You can run the A/C and ONE item such as toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, etc. You might have to run the fridge on propane.

I used to run my Roo 23SS a/c all the time when it was in the driveway while we were prepping it for camping. I believe I have even run my new Flagstaff's a/c on my home 20 amp circuit. I just don't run anything else.

All depends what you're plugging into at home. Is it a plug on a 15 amp breaker, a 20 amp breaker or a 30 amp breaker? Is there anything else on the circuit or is it dedicated?

In my instance, I plug into into the 15 amp circuit in my garage which also has my garage fridge, garage freezer, central vac, the powerwasher and whatever corded tool I need to use (like the table saw, chop saw, etc...) In my case, I wouldn't dare try to run the AC. (Ok, I did dare once just after getting the trailer last year, you can read about that fubar in my welcome thread.)

But, if I were to instead run the extension across the front of the house to the plug by the front door, that's on a dedicated 15 amp circuit and I'd probably be ok running the AC as long as I didn't try to use the microwave and converter or something at the same time.

All,

I know this is going to be a silly question / comment. I am in the process of purchasing a 2015 23IKSS. For some reason, I thought the shore power plug was a 200 / 30 amp. However, after reading this and checking the data...it appears that it is a 110v / 30 amp. I have an electrician coming to my house on Thursday to install a proper plug etc so I can plug my Roo in (when it is parked in my driveway) and want to make sure I have the proper plug / circuit installed. Thanks!

It is a 120 volt 30 amp outlet. You can print out the pdf file from this link and hand it to the electrician to make sure he wires it correctly. We hear horror stories all the time where a professional electrician (unfamiliar with RV's) wired it for 240 volts.
