2003 Shamrock

Hi all, We just purchased our 2003 17 ft shamrock last night. We are so excited we pick it up tonight. Can anyone tell us what we should look for in the inspection? We want to try and cover everything that might create a problem now or in the near future. Thanks

Evidence of any kind of roof leak.

Soft floors.
make them operate everything! A/c heater fridge hot water heater
remember fridge and hot water heater may operate on gas and electric.
make sure converter works.
all lights inside and out

Just a few things

are you buying from a dealer or private party?

check every square inch around and below the bunk doors. especially the seals and hinge areas.
these are the weak spots in hybrid design, especially the front bunk.
also where the canvas attaches to the trailer and the condition of the bunk doors themselves. watch for bubbles or soft spots on them, especially on the edges.

other than that, it would be the same for any TT: roof, RV systems, windows, undercarriage, tires and so on.

If it has brakes, they would be electric.

Check the bunk doors, inside and out to make sure they are not delaminating.

Run/test every electronic, mechanical, and gas appliance including but not limited to: lights, A/C, toilet, shower, heater, fans, microwave, RVQ, stove, sump pump, radio, TV, antenna, fridge, awning, slide out, electrical outlet, GFI, etc., and then knock on every corner, wall, door, side, ceiling, and don't foget to get on the roof and inspect the sealant and other items up there.

Take you time and inspect, and make it like if you were camping right then and there.
See ya' out there.

Bettyboop, this list might be helpful if you haven't picked it up, yet.

Its very comprehensive and I'd give credit if I could recall where it came from; but not sure where I got this.
