2007 Roo and leaking??

Good evening! New to the forum and I have a few questions.
we currently have a 1998 flagstaff popup camper. Looking to upgrade. We have found a 2007 roo and it has some soft spots at the bed under the mattress. I am curious what I should look for as to know if it is leaking or is it from condensation from the mattress. What I have read on here has been somewhat helpful but I just don't want to get into something then have to dump a lot of money into it. I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks.

if you're talking about the bunk door/bed platform, then any soft spot is not good.

it could be from water wicking in from the edge of the bunk door, due to bad sealing along the outside frame.
it could have wicked up from water pooling along the hinge area.

i doubt that it's from condensation under the mattress, UNLESS a previous owner left it damp for an extremely long period. but i have yet to see bunk door soft spots from mattress condensation.

the door is not safe if it has soft spots due to water intrusion.

did you look for water damage along the bunk door hinge area, especially along the adjoining wood?

Run as fast as you can from that deal. A soft spot is water damage, really does not really matter how it got there.
There are thousands of trailers that do not have water damage. Once a leaker, always a leaker.
