2014 23ss and the Progressive Industries emshw30c

Hello All, I am thinking about installing one of the emshw30c Progressive Industries surge protectors. Can anyone that has hardwired one in there 23ss Roo tell me the location where they installed the surge protector and if it was an easily accessible location and install? If I do decide to get a surge protector I'm thinking that I might want to hardwire one in(using the four plug connector method that I've read about here on the forum) instead of buying the portable version.

Has anyone with the 2014 23SS Roo/Shamrock completed the hardwired surge protector install and care to share how the install went?

I've got a 2015 23IKSS that I will be installing one in this weekend. I scoped out several possible spots for it and am pretty sure I will install it in the cabinet under the bathroom sink. That is where my power comes into the trailer and there is plenty of slack in the existing line for splicing the 30amp plugs. I'm planning to take a small piece of plywood and use some gorilla glue and stick the wood to the existing cabinet wall to reinforce it. Then screw the surge protector to the plywood. I want to keep it off the floor in case some water ever leaks.

I live with fear every day, and sometimes she lets me go fishing.

I put mine under the rear bunk just inside the the access door that has the screen front. I liked that I had plenty of room to work. I screwed it to the floor just inside the door. I put the display on the wall next to the door. I can see it from anywhere in the camper.

Hello All and thanks for the replies, I just picked up our 23SS on July 3rd and finally have it all setup in the backyard. Now that I have the trailer I can see that the electrical connection goes into the trailer as you described which is under the bathroom sink . I'll probably put my surge protector either there or in the cabinet in front of the rear bed as both of you described.

Thanks again for your replies
