Yeah, I use my phone to stream iHeart and Disney Radio. The speakers do sound tinny. So I added an 8" sub and built it into the cabinet.

Monitoring the amps is a must to manage your load. You might want to add an additional breaker/outlet to the island so you can run two high amp items at once. It is very easy to do.

Oh now that is a cool mod! Do you have a model# on the sub?

The Genesis has speakers A / B / C. A&B are the two inside speakers and C is the exterior pair. Some have found that the exterior speakers are very quiet and that by moving both interior speakers to the left and right wires on A, and then moving both exterior speakers to the B left and right wires, they get better stereo sound inside and louder volume outside. This is on my list of protects for this spring. I may add the subwoofer too since I will be in there anyway.

I found that fr had wired the inside speakers to the left channel so you'd use the balance to fade inside to outside. I wired the inside to the proper right and left channels on A. I the added a fader so I can turn down the vol to A. The A channel has the sub out. I left the C channel alone. And now nothing is connected to B. Ps. Just a generic 8 inch sub the Amazonians delivered.
